We are located in the north east corner of New Jersey, where NY, NJ and PA come together. When customers come visit to check in on the restoration, they are always amazed at how rural and beautiful Sussex County is. They can’t believe such a small town still exists.

Each restoration is different. To properly do a restoration takes time and it cannot be rushed. There may also be unexpected down time if we need to wait for replacement parts. It is very common for a restoration to take more than a year.

There is really no way of knowing what issues may lurk within the automobile until you begin to dismantle it.

Not at all. As a matter of fact, because of the money required to do a full restoration, many people will decide to do their restoration in phases.

We do not give estimates on restoration of body and paint for the following good business reasons:

There is no way to tell how much labor or parts will be needed for a specific project. Concealed previous repairs and hidden rust damage may not be visible at the beginning of the project.

There is no way of knowing what issues could be waiting to be discovered. Is there hidden rust? Is the frame bent? These are answers we won’t know until we begin dismantling the vehicle. 

Job integrity is not compromised by trying to fit repairs and refinish into a specific dollar category.

A quality restoration will outlast a mediocre one. Someday, as your classic car or street rod continues to appreciate in value, the vehicle’s value and the restoration costs could be equal or even less.

Yes. An upfront deposit is required and will be determined based on the scope of work to be done. We work off that deposit. Once the deposit gets to 10% or less, another deposit is required in order to continue working on your restoration.

On a weekly basis, we provide our customers with an invoice that includes time summaries, labor records and photos and / or videos of the work done - the labor records from our team provide written information pertaining to your project each day it is worked on.

With each invoice, you will also receive a summary of the total hours performed. Additionally, the invoice will show how much of your deposit funds remain.

We have had antique cars come all the way from the west coast for us to restore. We encourage all potential customers to visit Hullco prior to starting the restoration so they can see the shop and how we work, but it’s not necessary if they  are from out of state. We provide constant communication and send pictures often.

We use a highly qualified and insured towing business who is local to us that we recommend using. If the car is outside of their area of towing, arrangements can be made with a longer haul tow company. The customer is responsible for transportation payment.

We have a body shop and a mechanic shop here at Hullco. Depending on your needs, your car may stay in just one shop or be moved between the two. We also have a storage facility .25 miles from the shop where your car may be stored if we are waiting for parts.
